Merchants Quay Ireland (MQI) is a national voluntary agency providing
services for homeless people and for drug users. We are committed to a
strong vision whereby nobody is without a home, the instance of drug
related harm is minimised and the range and quality of drug treatment
is maximised.
JOB TITLE: Graduate Intern, High Park Residential.
REPORTS TO: Team Leader or Assigned Supervisor.
OBJECTIVE: To develop skills and knowledge in relation to carrying out
the work at High Park Residential according to an Individual Learning
Goals Assessment. To effectively deliver services pertaining to High
Park and in doing so to uphold the philosophy and working ethos of the
Project.
This programme offers an exciting opportunity for college graduates to
gain skills, knowledge and experience in the area of social care
especially as it relates to the issues of addiction and /or
homelessness. We are especially interested in hearing from graduates
who have completed degree qualifications in either social care or
social science where you can put into practice the learning and skills
you have acquired and wish to develop further in the area of addiction
and /or homelessness.
The Graduate Internship programme runs from February to January and we
will be recruiting for it in September this year. While on our
programme, the graduate intern is paid a living allowance of

on a **Apply on the website**-hour week. They have access to regular
supervision, quality-based training and employee assistance. As well
as being primarily allocated to work in one service, they also have
the opportunity to visit each of the other MQI services to see how
they operate.
